Coming soon: ‘The End of the Line, ‘The First Grader’
Our September Weekend Film Series features a dramatic warning about the impact of overfishing on our oceans and an inspiring story about an 84-year-old primary school student.
In The End of the Line investigative reporter Charles Clover confronts politicians and celebrity restaurateurs about the damage they are doing to the oceans. Filmed across the world over two years and featuring top scientists, indigenous fishermen and fisheries enforcement officials, this powerful documentary is a wake-up call to the world.
The First Grader is an uplifting feature based on the true story of Kimani N’gan’ga Maruge who, at the age of 84, figures its never too late to learn when the Kenyan government announces it will offer free primary school education for the first time.
The two films will screen on September 18 at the Tradewinds Auditorium at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.
